How to maintain precise cutting length for foam extruded rubber O Ring gaskets fully automatic bonding machine ?

 

1. Machine Overview and Basic Working Process

Our Foam extruded rubber gaskets fully automatic splicing machine of precise cutting length, model ES-060-1, is professionally engineered to process extruded foam rubber gaskets and automatically fabricate them into finished O-ring gaskets. This all-in-one equipment combines automatic feeding, fixed-length traction, instant glue application, splicing and finished product discharging to realize full automated production.

The machine is equipped with automatic feeder rollers that can deliver 15 pieces of foam rubber gaskets at one time for continuous operation. During production, raw gaskets run beneath sensor wheels. Once the gaskets are pulled upward, the sensor wheels will move away from the underneath sensors, and the feeding system will immediately replenish materials to keep production running smoothly. After the gaskets are pulled to the preset cutting length, instant adhesive is applied to the joints. The materials are then spliced into complete O-rings, and the bonded finished goods are finally conveyed into collection boxes.

2. Existing Problem of Cutting Length Tolerance

 

The basic auto sensor feeding is not enough as for quite soft sponge or silicone rubber gaskets and also requires very long cutting length , the cutting length tolerance will grow more obvious when cutting length exceeds 1500mm ,the cutting length tolerance will be 1500 +_5/10mm

 

To resolve the tolerance issue of long-size soft rubber gaskets, we have upgraded this Foam extruded rubber gaskets fully automatic splicing machine of precise cutting length with two core structures. The core design goal is to minimize material pulling tension across all working procedures and maintain stable cutting accuracy.

 

3, Solution :Dual buffer station added

 

Two buffer stations are mounted at the middle section of the 4-meter-long feeder shelf. These stations pre-store an adequate length of foam rubber gaskets in advance. When the main unit pulls materials for fixed-length cutting, it directly uses the pre-stored gaskets from the buffer area, which effectively eliminates strong pulling force transferred from the feeding end. Additionally, the buffer stations press down the incoming gaskets to fix their position, lowering feeding tension to the minimum level.

 

After installing the dual buffer stations, the cutting length tolerance of 1500 mm foam and silicone rubber gaskets is optimized to ±2 mm, delivering a dramatic improvement in overall cutting precision for this Foam extruded rubber gaskets fully automatic splicing machine of precise cutting length.

They are placed in the middle of the feeder which it will get enough gaskets length down first from the feeder and let auto feeder and the main machine to draw cutting length later without tension, it will reduce tension to minimum during feeding process and thus maintains cutting length precision and get cutting length tolerance to minimum as 1500+-2mm

4,Milddle supporter

Also the middle supporter inside the machine will go up to supprt the weight of gaskets when gaskets passing over it , it will lift up automatically to to suport the weight of gaskets to avoid it from weighing down and reduce pulling tension further and maintains cutting length precision .
